Juicing: Good or not? Give it a try!

I’d like to write again about Juicing because a lot of people are asking me and bringing up the conversation during these days very much, mainly because they knowI’m a huge fan of it.

There are many controversial opinions about health-related subjects in general. Just checking online will make you crazy.
For instance, there are different opinions about foods, diets, which one is more suitable for you, and again is vegetarian or vegan a healthy way of living, are fruits and veggies something that you should eat regularly? And so on.

How many diets are out there? I researched some numbers and this impressive!

Just looking on www.worldometers.info/weight-loss/ there are approximately 1,656,417,196 overweight people around the world right now while I’m writing this article, and about $ 136,958,661 money spent on weight loss programs in the USA today!
So this diet industry which is worth billions of dollars should have at least half of these programs working, and we should all be lean and fit.

When someone asks me about Juicing, I listen to all the concerns they have, and I get to answer many question and doubts that most people have. Juicing is not healthy for your body! They are telling me that mainly because of the fiber situation.

Do your researches.

What I do before thinking if something is right or wrong I research it and try it myself. I never do things based on what other people say. I was shocked when I watched the last video about diets and healthy living. This MD doctor G was talking about the foods you should avoid, like legumes and some veggies, because they contain lecithin. But is this true? Just to make an example, do you avoid foods as avocados? Or legumes which according to www.nutritionfacts.org are the most important dietary predictor of survival in older people in countries around the world. Beans, whole grains, garden vegetables, plant-based diets, in general, are the cornerstones of all the longevity diets!

Instead, there is who promote to eat animals products still, which by now even my niece who is 11 years old understands that is not good for you because can cause several diseases and type of cancers. Studies and doctors are proving that based on uncountable researches and proof.

So always keep in mind who is developing and promoting some information in this corrupted world. Some people may have been paid to say certain things. At the end of the day, dairy, meat, and pharmaceutical companies are some of the most profitable businesses out there. Who wants us sick?
Just think about that for a second.

What are Fibers?

Before keep going and debate about juicing, we have to acknowledge essential scientific information about fibers.

Fiber is a type of carbohydrate that the body canโ€™t digest. Though most carbohydrates are broken down into sugar molecules, fiber cannot be broken down into sugar molecules, and instead, it passes through the body undigested. Fiber helps regulate the bodyโ€™s use of sugars, helping to keep hunger and blood sugar in check.
Children and adults need at least 20 to 30 grams of fiber per day for good health, but most Americans get only about 15 grams a day. Great sources of fibers are whole fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and beans.

Fiber comes in two varieties, both beneficial to our health:
Soluble fiber, which dissolves in water, can help lower glucose levels as well as help lower blood cholesterol. Foods with soluble fiber include oatmeal, nuts, beans, lentils, apples, and blueberries.
Insoluble fiber, which does not dissolve in water, can help food move through your digestive system, promoting regularity and helping prevent constipation. Foods with insoluble fibers include wheat, whole wheat bread, whole grain couscous, brown rice, legumes, carrots, cucumbers, and tomatoes.
The best sources of fiber are whole grain foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, legumes, and nuts.

Why do you Juice!

When you decide to juice is because you have enough knowledge and you are aware of what juicing means. First of all, you have already a well-balanced diet in your routine. You eat all the nutrients that your body needs regarding vitamins fibers minerals etc.

While we juice, our body assimilates and absorbs all the essential nutrients in the easiest way possible, because we remove the insoluble fibers contained in fruit and veggies. These fibers slow down the absorption of many micronutrients. In another words juicing accelerate the nutrients absorption.
Another positive thing that happens when removing the fibers is that you also eliminate the pesticides on non-organic products.
Try to eat ten different fruits and veggies at one time. Is it kind of hard right? It is not difficult at all when you juice them instead, plus you’ll get all the benefits from vitamins and essential minerals in higher concentrations.

The whole purpose of juicing is giving your body a break.

Resting your digestive tract while your system focuses on repair some other issues that you may have in your body. For instance, people who have some problems with digestive disorders, fatigue, stress, some illnesses can find considerable benefits in Juicing, because you still maintain the ability to absorb nutrients while you rest your digestive tract.

Chose the right Juicer!

A Cold-pressed juicer moves at low-speed pressure to extract the liquid from the fruits and vegetables we use. That means that no additional heat or oxygen create oxidation and eliminate vitamins, minerals, enzymes and necessary nutrients. Differently, a centrifugal juicer which uses high speeds, during the process lose all the principal benefits.

With all said, I believe that knowledge is the best defense you can use for preserving a healthy lifestyle. So always inform yourself and do your researches more than just listen to general opinions.

In Good Health!
With Love
