Nourish your inner child
Let’s not forget to nourish the child that is in us.
While growing and becoming adults, life changes as we do, and we start to have different needs from when we were a child. It can be busy, and it can become complicated. Work, family, tasks, it’s hard to find some time to enjoy things.
I have mentioned before the importance of living quality time, where we genuinely enjoy our ourselves in tranquillity, and this makes me think of one more important point.
We often forget to listen to our inner child, the one that all of us carries inside since we are young.
The characteristics I love the most when I think of a child are the honesty, the innocence, the spontaneity, the curiosity, that is naturally part of being a child.
Once we grow up and our character develops, we tend to lose or forget these peculiarities, but to be honest, I’m always grateful when I still find these qualities in people. It’s what I truly love!
That’s why in my opinion is essential to nourish such a beautiful qualities, and one way to do so could be remembering how we were when we were young.
I remember that every time I look into my niece’s eyes for example, and the way she looks at things is a motivation for me. Just this last weekend we went together to the Luna Park. Nicole wanted to go there at any cost, so I said why not, and it was the best idea ever.
She pushed me to join the rides with her; she made me shoot with guns to the old beer’s bottles to win a toy, we bought the cotton candy, and many other things. Guess what? That was just relaxing and carefree time. But the most fantastic sensation I had was reviving my joyful past. On an emotional level, it was just amazing, while I was young and thoughtless again.
It has been a great sensation, something we all should often do.
Watching a kid having fun it reminds how life can be fulfilling, and the experience you can get from this is knowing better yourself.
Most of the adults I know wish to go back in time and be a kid again. My husband unexpectedly taught me this. While growing up, after finished college, I’ve always been pushed to do more, to sacrifice to get the best you need, to never stop even if I had to give up to some life’s pleasures. There was not much more time left to have fun, and I was always wondering why. Work hard to achieve the result, if you don’t do so, you will never become anybody. That’s why later in my thirties I felt wild again, especially after facing some challenging.
And why not? That was my inner child rebelling, but that was also new fresh air for me.
So you can be a kid again, and be fearless. To help your inner child to come out try to do few things.
The first important one that everybody should never forget to do is HAVING FUN. Play more, find your way to have more enjoyment, laugh, amusement in your daily life. Fun is one of the keys to nourish your inside child.
BE HONEST and SPEAK THE TRUTH.
I know circumstances in life can stop us from telling the truth, but more open and spontaneous we are, and more we’ll live judgment-free. It gives us the chance to connect with people more profoundly, we’ll get to know them better, and we can build a healthy relationship for life. My grandma always used to say to me “Pochi ma Buoni,” which means “A few but Good,” and this has never been truer to me than ever. Especially growing up, it takes away so much drama from your life as well.
GET WHAT YOU WANT.
As kids we always dream big, we want to be an astronauts for example, and go to the moon I remember or become president, or again being an actor. The point was when we wanted something so badly we were willing to go for it, no matter what. Don’t forget to dream big again, and achieve what you want. Try and try without feeling the failure, kids never feel this sensation; it’s more an adult feeling. So just go after your passions and dreams, without feeling barriers and fear. What is the worst that can happen?
GET UP AND GO AHEAD
Don’t let anything stopping you. As a child, we experience fights, hard time as well while playing with other children, but what happened was that we were able to pass it without grudges and play again. Forgiving fast gives you more freedom, was it a feeling that you had while you were young? Why can’t we experience it as grown-up people, so move on and go forward!
DO WHAT YOU LIKE
To enhance your CREATIVITY is essential to do what you love. I remember how much we were doing artistic things at school, painting, sculpture, theater shows, performances, dancing, creating artistic projects from scratch. It was a way to find and keep our creativity side bright. Why don’t hold it alive again, finding our way to be creative. Creativity is necessary because it helps us to expands our perceptions, which are excellent to it increase new ideas, even when it comes to solving problems.
How is that sounds to you? As adults, we can be all of this, as kids for sure are! Even better sometimes I would say because we have the consciousness to benefit even more what we experience.
In Good Health!
